Week 8: Thousand Oaks

November 30, 2020

Today was P-day, and we played some football in one of the parks, nothing too special. But later when I started playing the piano, I got really into it and now I'm actually excited to play again next P-day, which is kind of weird. But for the rest of the day, we grinded some Facebook, and did a member visit, and now the new week begins.

December 1, 2020

Today I did an exchange with Elder Giraud-Carrier. It was good, even though it was short. I always like trying to help the other elders out and get to know them better. I have been learning a lot from all of the other elders. We made some progress and got a number from a guy, so a good day.

December 2, 2020

Today I went on exchange with Elder Breitweiser, and he's a great missionary. I am really glad I get to know all of these people. I keep learning more and more and get humbled again and again. I hit a point today where I was probably at one of the most tired points that I have ever been at. We have been working super hard, and I can feel it at the end of the day. I guess that's a good thing.

December 3, 2020

I got a day to just focus on my area today. We didn't find anybody, but it was great to be here and have my focus on just this area. But wherever I am, I'm trying to work as hard as I can and further the work anywhere I can. I have been wrecked the past couple of days, I have been really tired haha. It's a satisfying tired, I just hope something productive comes of it soon. But I'll keep following God's will, not mine.

December 4, 2020

Today was a good day, and I did an exchange with Elder Kelsey. He's a great elder, and he's pretty much the same age, just came out here a transfer earlier. But it was really good! We taught a family today, and it was totally crazy haha. But before the exchange, we taught somebody named John, and it was such a good lesson! He asked really good questions, and we taught him a lot of good stuff. He even said he wants to read the D&C and Pearl of Great Price, and it was great. But we'll have to pass him off because he's not even in our mission. But the work continues.

December 5, 2020

Today was awesome and I did an exchange with Elder Jensen, but before that, we had a great experience finding someone through Facebook! This person named Chris messaged me back and said he had just found his faith in God 31 days prior, and he started talking about how he loves being Christian. Then he asked if he could call me because he said he felt like God had our paths cross for a reason. So we talked to him by calling him through Facebook, and we set up a lesson for tomorrow! He really seems like he could progress and we're excited to teach him.

December 6, 2020

Today we went to outdoor church, and it was with most of the ward since it was a fast and testimony meeting. It was nice to be able to help set up the whole thing, and meet some new members in the process. After church we did our studies, and then went street contacting but couldn't find many people to talk to. After that we did some more Facebook finding and some member visits, but that's about it. We had to reschedule our lesson with Chris, but we are meeting on Tuesday, so, so far so good.
